Helpful Notes

Initials –Larger Center - This format is typically for females or creating a blended monogram from a couples initials.  The format is:first name initial on the left, middle name initial on the right, and last name initial in the center.  For example, the monogram for Abigail Marie Smith is:first name initial (A -Abigail) on the left, middle name initial (M-Marie) on the right, and last name initial (S-Smith) in the center. The center letter is slightly larger than the other two initials as pictured below:

Three initials –Same Size- This format is typically for males. The format is:first name initial on left, middle name initial in the center, and last name initial on the right.  For example, the monogram for John David Smith is:first name initial (J-John) on left, middle name initial (D-David) in the center, and last name initial (S-Smith) on the right.  All initials are the same size as pictured below:

Blending Monograms –Married couples or soon-to-be married couples wanting to blend their individual initials into one common monogram can be accomplished by having their last name as the middle initial with their first initials on either side. For example, say that Heather N. Bracewell marries Jeremy S. Bracewell, their common monogram would be JBH or HBJ,which spouse’s initial goes first is a matter of preference.
